Automatically download Fastbill invoices

On the roadmap

Collect the invoices Fastbill issues for your own SaaS subscription, seats, and add-ons, and keep them separate from client invoices you create inside Fastbill.

Collect Fastbill's own SaaS bills, not your client invoices. Fastbill is an invoicing product, so the documents you issue to your customers are not Fastbill's vendor bill for using the software. This guide covers only the subscription invoices Fastbill sends you as its customer, not an export of outgoing client invoices from the Fastbill workspace.

Automatic download of Fastbill invoices

The planned flow joins portal documents with mailbox attachments in one review list. Until this provider connection is released, use the following checklist as the reliable manual path.

How it works

  1. Set the account and period. Download Fastbill's own vendor invoices for your subscription and leave outgoing client invoices created in the workspace out of this series.
  2. Check the original documents. Check billed entity, plan, seats, service period, currency, and tax against the Fastbill account you actually pay.
  3. Prepare the handoff. Keep credits and plan changes inside Fastbill's vendor series so they never mix with customer invoice exports.

Frequently asked questions

How does BillGetter protect my Fastbill data?

BillGetter is being developed as a local and a cloud version. The permissions and data path of the Fastbill connection will be shown before you connect an account; the integration is currently on the roadmap.

Can I collect older Fastbill documents?

The available history depends on the later Fastbill connection and the documents retained in the account. BillGetter will document that scope before the integration is released.

Does BillGetter also collect invoices from email?

Mailbox collection is part of the planned BillGetter workflow. Email attachments and portal documents are intended to appear in the same review list, with the exact early-access scope confirmed before release.

Which Fastbill documents belong in the monthly set?

For Fastbill, start with: Fastbill SaaS subscription invoice, Seat or add-on adjustment, Fastbill credit or plan change. Keep corrections and credits with the same period so the set remains complete and understandable.

Are Fastbill documents always saved as PDFs?

BillGetter is intended to retain the original format supplied by Fastbill; not every document type is necessarily a PDF. Before export, use this rule: File Fastbill vendor invoices under software costs and never treat exported client invoices from Fastbill as Fastbill's own billing documents.
