A practical checklist for collecting Amazon order invoices, seller documents, credits, and refunds before handing the month to bookkeeping.
Collect Amazon invoices without losing the seller context. An Amazon order and its tax document are not always issued by the same party. Treat the order record as context, keep the actual seller invoice as the accounting document, and retain later credits beside the original purchase.
Automatic download of Amazon invoices
The planned flow joins portal documents with mailbox attachments in one review list. Until this provider connection is released, use the following checklist as the reliable manual path.
How it works
- Set the account and period. Work account by account and period by period so private purchases do not enter the business handoff.
- Check the original documents. Match the legal seller, invoice total, tax amount, and order reference instead of filing the order confirmation alone.
- Prepare the handoff. Keep partial refunds and credit notes with the original order so the final booked amount remains understandable.

Frequently asked questions
How does BillGetter protect my Amazon data?
BillGetter is being developed as a local and a cloud version. The permissions and data path of the Amazon connection will be shown before you connect an account; the integration is currently on the roadmap.
Can I collect older Amazon documents?
The available history depends on the later Amazon connection and the documents retained in the account. BillGetter will document that scope before the integration is released.
Does BillGetter also collect invoices from email?
Mailbox collection is part of the planned BillGetter workflow. Email attachments and portal documents are intended to appear in the same review list, with the exact early-access scope confirmed before release.
Which Amazon documents belong in the monthly set?
For Amazon, start with: Seller tax invoice, Amazon-issued invoice, Credit note or refund record. Keep corrections and credits with the same period so the set remains complete and understandable.
Are Amazon documents always saved as PDFs?
BillGetter is intended to retain the original format supplied by Amazon; not every document type is necessarily a PDF. Before export, use this rule: Name files with invoice date, seller, and invoice number. Amazon order numbers are useful context, but they should not replace the number printed on the invoice.
